kumble feels for dravid's omission

Anil kumble was worried as Dravid was sacked from the Indian team without a reason. He has been performing well. but he is not included in the side for the forth coming India Australia series. having scored more than ten thousand runs, undoubtedly he is one of thee favourite cricketer in India. The treatment to him is not justifiable.

"I don't know why they didn't continue with him," Kumble was quoted as saying by PA Sports. "It's a call that the selectors made. I don't think someone who has played that long, of that stature, should have been dropped in that way after having performed in the Champions Trophy.

"I certainly would have wanted him to continue but probably the selectors thought that he came as a replacement for Virender Sehwag and Sehwag was fit so he had to go, maybe that was the reason."

Dravid was recalled to the one-day squad after two years in August to strengthen the middle order for the Compaq Cup tri-series in Sri Lanka and the Champions Trophy. Since his comeback, he has scored 14, 47, 39, 76 and 4 in five innings; the 39 came in a crucial 95-run opening stand in the Compaq Cup final, which India won. It was expected that Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh would come in for Dinesh Karthik and Virat Kohli, their original replacements, but the selectors showed faith in Kohli.

Rain palys spoilsport

In the yesterday's group stage match rain interrupted the play and subsequently the match was cancelled. This has pushed Indian team into trouble. They are literally out of the series. the match against pakistan and australia tomorrow will play a deciding role for semifinal slot. If australia wins the tomorrow's match, India is out of the tournament. But if australia losses the tomorrows match against pakistan, India will get a chance as net run rate will come in to play. If india wins its next match against west indies with a good margin of runs, they can claim a place in semifinal. India now stands at the third place with one point from two games. Its run rate is -1.080. If australia lose by 60 runs, then india has to win by 45 runs. the difference between the combinations must be something around 105.

Win against west indies is must for team india. So they have to prepare a strong team for tomorrow's match. First, they should sack ishant sharma who is worth less. The way he bowls makes others think that he don't know how to bowl. In yesterday's match too he bowled a poor spell. Dhoni can also try nayar in the place of ishant sharma which could add the batting stregnth of the team. Tomorrow's match is a must must must must win match for team india.

Bowlers let us down

Yes. Bowlers let us down in the previous match against Pakistan. India disappointed the full packed super sports park spectators in the yesterday's much hyped and expected match against Pakistan. yesterdays pitch was a lighter pitch which could help spinners to turn the ball. But we didn't used the pitch to full extent. Harbajan was interested in bowling short pitch deliveries. His bad form with Pakistan team continues as he managed to get only a wicket for 71 runs in 10 overs. our pace bowlers R.P Singh and Ishant Sharma continued to help opposite team to score runs. They forgot that they should not bowl too away from the stumps... However Ashish Nehra performed well by taking 4 wickets for 55 runs. Bowlers helped Pakistan to set a target of 303 runs for India. Any way Pakistan performed brilliantly in their batting. Former captain Shoiab Malik scored a century and Yousuf scored a fifty. Both batsmen helped pakistan to fetch a 200 run partnership for 4th wicket.

India's batting department also failed to perform in their first match in champions trophy. Sachin returned to pavilion with just 8 runs. Gambhir after hitting a 46 balls 57 , ran himself to out. Dravid showed some resistance by playing a fantastic innings of 76 runs. Then Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Yousuf pathan voluntarily donated their wickets to Afridi and Mohammed Aamer. At last suresh raina played a good innings of 41 balls 46. Unlike Indian spinners, Afridi and Ajmal exploited the pitch to full extent and managed to get 2 wickets each. Totally pakistan out played India in the yesterday's match.

Dhoni at the press conference admitted that the batsmen failed to deliver. He also said that at some times he felt that the team was short of three bowlers.

Now India must win its next match against Australia tomorrow. Its a must win match for India. We can expect a big shuffle in the team's line up. All the best team India

Champions trophy has started

Champions trophy started in South Africa in style. First match was a high scoring thriller in which the host team suffered defeat in the hands of sri lanka. Rain also marked its presence in the opener against Sri Lanka and south Africa.

India also sent a strong team to regain the champions trophy after it shared the trophy some years ago with Sri Lanka. Champions trophy is called mini world cup. Some critics feel its bigger than world cup as only the top eight teams plays for the trophy. In short it is the tournament for champion of champions Injury prone Indian team is now in South Africa. After virender shewag, zaheer khan, yuvraj singh also got some injury. He is advised to take six weeks of rest as he injured his finger. Virat kohli is named as replacement for yuvraj singh.
